
Missy Harden MS OTR/L, CDP
Missy is an occupational therapist and certified dementia care practitioner and has supported older adults in home, community, acute and outpatient rehabilitation, skilled and continuing care community settings. Missy has experience in recreation and life enrichment for older adults and understands the importance of engaging in meaningful activities for wellness. Missy graduated from VCU Medical College of Virginia with a master’s degree in occupational therapy. She is a Certified Independent Positive Approach to Care Advanced Consultant and Trainer (www.Teepasnow.com), and a Certified Dementia Practitioner (NCCDP). Missy provided care for her beloved in-laws in their shared home for 23 years and these combined educational, professional and personal experiences have equipped her to support individuals and families on the dementia care journey. Missy is a volunteer community educator with the Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Richmond. She provides consultative services to families and professional care partners on the dementia care journey. “I passionately believe that with increased awareness and care skills, individuals living with dementia diagnoses and all who journey with them can experience joy and dignity in care.”
